Trying to navigate the demands of middle and high school can be overwhelming for students. Sometimes a young person needs help organizing their work load and developing the study practices that lead to success. And sometimes a student is more amenable to suggestions and collaboration when it doesn't come from their parents! I can help your struggling student develop strong habits and routines so they can meet their learning goals.

Public school teachers and administrators work hard to help struggling students succeed. Yet because of budget constraints, scheduling conflicts, crowded classrooms and other factors, your student may need more time with a professional teacher to make optimal gains. I have the experience and skills to take your student on a more individualized journey of skill building so they can participate in their classroom settings with confidence.

Parenting is tough. Parenting a child who is struggling in school is extra hard. Do you know your options and your rights when it comes to getting help for your child? I do! As a special educator I have successfully supported many parents unfamiliar with the special education process, and I can do that for you, too. I can explain the IEP process, help you understand your rights, interpret documents, and participate in special education meetings with you. These services can be combined with long-term tutorials for maximum student benefit.
